Im Sommer erschien das Album "Rainier Fog" von ALICE IN CHAINS und wurde kürzlich für einen Grammy in der Kategorie "Best Rock Album" nominiert. Es ist bereits die 9. Nominierung für Alice In Chains.
Heute kündigen Alice In Chains einen "Rainier Fog" Film an. Das Projekt läuft unter dem Titel "Black Antenna", der Regiseur Adam Mason wurde dabei vom Sound von "Rainier Fog" inspiriert. Es handelt sich dabei um einen 90 minütigen Sci-Fi Film,der aus zehn Episoden/Videos besteht - für jeden Song des Albums eine Episode. Anfang 2019 geht es los. Hier könnt ihr den Trailer anschauen:
“I’m a longtime fan of the band and this was an opportunity to do something fresh and inspiring from an indie filmmaking side. The sound and vision between album and film are closely intertwined – it was a brilliant synergy that led to a really unique project." sagt der Filmemacher Adam Mason und Sean Kinney berichtet uns folgendes:
“We’ve always toyed with the idea of creating videos for every song on one of our albums,” Not only did we do that for Rainier Fog, it got totally out of hand and we made a whole goddamn movie. Everything that will be seen in the videos will be footage from ‘Black Antenna’ to preface the complete film’s release.”
Neben Auftritten bei Rock im Park und Rock am Ring haben Alice in Chains jetzt ein weiteres Deutschland-Konzert in Hamburg mit Black Rebel Motorcycle Club angekündigt.
