“It's an album we wanted to HAVE to do with all the constraints that came with it. We didn’t have the time - as we were constantly on tour- and yet we booked a studio for a month, wrote every single note on the spot, engineered, recorded, mixed and produced everything ourselves in four weeks.Even the artwork was created by Noé Cauderay at night time in the barn of the studio in a room without heating during the cold winter in January.
I couldn’t be more proud of how we - as a band and friends - have pulled this off. This album is the most meaningful album we’ve written to date and also the one with the most contrasts and dynamic between the songs. There are hints of where this will lead us in the future. This is the beginning of a new era for Coilguns and it won’t be long before we start working on the next album. As for now, I hope people will enjoyed the weirdness and general direction we’ve gone with « Watchwinders ».
This is a proper home made record from bottom to top and I can’t thank enough my brothers in Coilguns for still sticking together and make this our daily lives.
Stay weird and play that damn record loud".
