SLIPKNOT-Drummer Joey Jordison wird seinen Labelkollegen ROB ZOMBIE während der Frühlings- und Sommermonate auf dessen diesjähriger Tour begleiten. Zombie über Jordison: "Joey is an absolutely crushing drummer and I am thrilled to have him as part of the Zombie family. His amazing skills promise to take the live show to a whole new level of insanity." Jordison fügte hinzu, "I am honored, proud and excited to announce that I have joined the ranks as the new touring drummer for Rob Zombie. I've been a fan of Zombie's since the beginning. I've toured with them and have always wanted to play for them. When John 5 called me up to ask if I knew any drummers I could recommend, I said, only half-jokingly, 'Yeah, me!"
Jordison ist in der Branche nicht nur als einer der besten Drummer im Hard Rock Bereich bekannt, sondern gilt als einer der talentiertesten Schlagzeuger seiner Zeit. Er wird sich über das ganze Jahr verteilt für Rob Zombie hinter die Trommeln setzen - sowohl für mehrere einzelne Auftritte als auch für die "Gruesome Twosome" Tour, bei der sich Rob Zombie und Alice Cooper vom 26. April bis zum 5. Mai die Ehre geben werden.
Weiter geht es für Jordison dann mit Rob Zombie im Zuge des 2010 Rock Star Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, bei dem Zombie als Co-Headliner mit KORN auftreten wird.
"This show and set-list is mind blowing, and what better way to kick off than with the 'Gruesome Twosome' tour with horror-rock legend Alice Cooper," erklärt Jordison. "I want to thank all the Slipknot fans for their support and the Rob Zombie fans for welcoming me in. The Demonoid Phenomenon is on its way!"
Jordison wird sein Debut mit Zombie bei den 2010 Revolver Golden Gods Awards geben, die am 8. April in Los Angeles zelebriert werden.
