PINK FLOYD zelebrieren 50 Jahre "Wish You Were Here" mit "Wish You Were Here 50"

"Wish You Were Here 50" wird am 12.12.2025 von Sony Music als gelbfarbenes Einzel-Vinyl, Dreifach-LP, Doppel-CD, digital, Blu-ray und als umfangreiches Boxset veröffentlicht.

Mit "The Machine Song (Demo #2, Revisited)" gibt es bereits einen Vorgeschmack auf "Wish You Were Here 50". Die frühe Fassung von "Welcome To The Machine" hört ihr hier:

Der Fokus der 50th Anniversary Edition des achten PINK-FLOYD-Albums, das legendäre Nummern wie den gefühlvollen Titeltrack, daszweigeteilte Epos "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" oder das visionäre "Welcome To The Machine" beinhaltet, liegt auf sechs bisher unveröffentlichten Studio-Raritäten, nach denen sich jeder PF-Maniac die Finger lecken dürfte. - darunter auch ein neuer Stereomix von "Shine On You Crazy Diamon (Parts 1-9)", der alle Parts in einem Logtrack zusammenfüg Dazu gesellen sich mit "Wine Glasses", einer alternativen Version von "Have A Cigar" sowie dem Titeltrack mit Jazz-Geiger Stéphane Grappelii als Gast drei bereits auf der Immersion bzw. Experience Edition von "Wish You Were Here" (2011) veröffentlichte Studioraritäten.

Das originale Album ist ebenfalls Teil des Pakets - auf Blu-ray erstmals in einer Dolby-Atmos-Abmischung von James Guthrie zu hören, erweitert um den 5.1 Surround Mix von 2011, einen Stereo Mix und 4.0 Quad Mix (beide von 1975). Zusätzlich wird ein bisher unveröffentlichter Livemitschnitt aus Los Angeles 1975 auf einigen Formaten von "Wish You Were Here 50" zu finden sein. Ursprünglich vom bekannten Bootlegger Mike Millard am 26.04.1975 in der Los Angeles Sports Arena mitgeschnitten, hat für "Wish You Were Here 50" niemand Geringeres als Steven Wilson Hand angelegt. Auf seine Restauration inklusive Remastering darf man besonders gespannt sein.
